Learn Math Facts
...the “Right Brain” Way!
This program works really well for those kids (usually Dyslexic or ADHD) who have a horrible time memorizing the math facts, but love and remember pictures, stories or songs.

We use stories in which the numbers are characters which interact in some way to associate the outcome of the story to the answer.
There’s a picture to illustrate every story, and songs for the most difficult multiplicaiton facts.
We also have a magnetic story board (with magnetic characters, of course!) that we use for the child to retell the story.
We have lots of fun with games, and the kids win prizes!
Students with Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia have shown great success with this visually based, interactive program which appeals to visual, auditory, and tactile learning styles. Teachers and parents who are interested in helping build self esteem and increasing math scores may find this multisensory program the only thing that works for these special needs students.
It’s hard to make generalizations, because students are VERY different, but most students are able to learn their addition and subtraction facts OR their multiplication and division facts in about 10-12 weeks, coming twice a week.
One of our students with ADHD pleaded with us to “Make my school teach this way.” And he wrote (unedited, as you can see):
“I like this way of addition because of the way to
remember how to do them.
I had fun reading about the stories.
The math is fun to answer.”
